First Article and Lot Inspection

Providing accurate parts is critical for the success of our customers which is why Protoshop provides first article and lot inspection services at no additional cost for every lot of molded parts we provide. This is a service you will not find with any other prototype molder. Protoshop’s standard inspection is 3 ea dimensions from 3 ea parts from a molding lot. Customers may further utilize our inspection services by increasing the number of dimensions or the number of parts to be inspected when your molding order is placed. We will need to be provided with a drawing indicating the dimensions to be inspected and their tolerance. Protoshop can also assist by creating an inspection drawing for you.

Micro-Vu Sol

Protoshop uses the Micro-Vu Sol video measurement system. It is a non-contact, video-based method of measurement.

We will measure and document each dimension on the drawing, then indicate whether each measurement is within tolerance. A copy of the completed inspection report is included with the parts shipment.
